War muted the sounds of life, the scrape of sandals against the dirt pathway was the only sound within the compound. Colors that were once vibrant and bright now seemed dull and lackluster. Kaegi felt the strain on his ears to hear something to give this place a sense of home. Anything like children laughing, movements of bodies, any sort of chatter he desperately wanted to hear, but it was dead silent. War had stolen life from the compound and they would miss it. It would be months maybe years before this place would be filled with some sense of peace. Husbands and mothers were gone, children orphaned, shinobi incapable of returning to work, would they even find peace in such despair? Droplets of doubts rippled across Kaegi’s mind, only time would tell. Time told Kaegi that the world he used to live in was no more.

Well, sincerely from the fact that itachi applied for a lot of ranks and wishes to go missing ninja, then i wouldn't stop him.

Missing ninja's don't really hold any 'special' authority in the first place, i guess we can let it slide and accept this one?
